Alberto Loi, Theria Vermentino 2022

Established in the 1940s on the eastern slopes of Sardinia's Jerzu region, Alberto Loi is now in its third generation of family winemakers. They pride themselves on using only organic farming methods, meaning the wine you see in your glass is an authentic taste of Sardinian Vermentino, not an overdone/mass-produced table wine. Theria 2022 has a rich golden colour and opens with notes of Amalfi lemon and fresh honey. On the palate, expect flavours of white blossom running along a more intense citrussy core; it finishes with a welcomingly persistent, yet not overly intense, mineral quality. This is a superb wine to enjoy as an apertif in the sunshine.
